The first Society Meeting for 2012 is on January 18th 2012 @ the Los Angeles Police Academy,1840 N. Academy Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

WE WILL MEET IN CLASSROOM #1 as the Lounge is booked for an event.

THE HISTORY OF BAGPIPING will be presented by accomplished musician and Band Pipe Major Scott Walton

PLEASE RSVP to the email you will receive with a simple "I'll be there" OR " Regrets" so we can guage for food and beverage!

Your Board of Directors will hold there OPEN meeting at 6 p.m. and you are welcome to attend!

Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums to March in Rose Parade

The Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums have been selected to participate in the 2012 Rose Parade so look for us on KTLA. 

We will be marching with the Los Angeles Police, Metropolitan Division Mounted Platoon and the Department's Honor Guard in this year's Rose Parade.

Deputy Chief Patrick M. Gannon was born and raised in Los Angeles and is a third generation Los Angeles Police Officer following after his father who retired in 1973 as a Policeman and his grandfather who retired in 1952 as a Detective-Sergeant. Deputy Chief Gannon’s eldest son, Michael is also a Los Angeles Police Officer, assigned to Hollywood Division.
